About the Chapter

A Proud History at the University of Kansas

Founded in 1947, Zeta-Iota has been a thriving chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha at KU for over 75 years.

Established as a chapter committed to brotherhood, leadership, and integrity from day one, it was among the earliest fraternities to abolish hazing and promote equal membership through the Associate Member Program. Thousands of alumni have gone on to successful careers and continue to give back through mentoring and our Educational Foundation.

While the house we live in has changed, the values and brotherhood remains the same. Today, we are building a new chapter house at 1510 Sigma Nu Pl, a milestone for the next generation of Zeta-Iota brothers.

The first Lambda Chi chapter house at 805 Ohio (left). During the 1970s-90s we were at 1918 Stewart Avenue. Construction will be starting soon on our new and permanent Chapter House at 1510 Sigma Nu Place.
